HOLLYWOOD(Perfect Skin Today)12/7/13/–Edimi Skin Care is the company founded by Dr.Michael Tick, who is also a biochemist, and the laboratory director for The Institute of Skin Sciences. According to him he firmly believes that to achieve perfect skin you need to maintain the balance between alkaline and acidity. “When you have healthy skin you know it. You can see it and feel it and your skincare products and makeup go on beautifully,” says Dr.Tick.”You,know if your skin is off scale when your skin is too acidic or alkaline-it will feel dry, prone to breakouts, sensitive and inflamed. Skin conditions such as eczema, rosacea, psoriasis and such others are caused by an imbalance of Ph in the body.”
Saying all that, they have released six products in their line starting with the Cucumber Facial Mask ($58 for 1oz jar) that contains the following ingredients : De-ionized water, Kaolin, Cetearyl Alcohol, Ceteareth 20, Octyl Palmitate, Organic Ground Cucumber, Stearic Acid and Phenoxyethanol. Perfect for scaly, aging, flaky skin, wrinkles and clogged pores. You only need to use it once a week and this jar should last about three months.
The Face/Neck Rejuvenator ($96 for 2oz jar) is the brands signature cream and is rich in peptides, protectors and hydrators. It can be used morning and night after cleansing, and is geared towards aging and sagging skin, wrinkles, crow’s feet and lines around the eyes.
The Body Exfoliator ($56 for 4oz jar) is for removing the accumulation of dead cells and flaky looking skin, but beware it must not be used on genitalia. Glad they told me that before using it.
The Tightening Rejuvenator ($96) is an alternative solution from “botulism” injections according to the press release. This is a smooth gel coming all the way from France, and it can be used as a replacement for moisturizer. Good for lines around the eyes and mouth, and those unfortunates with a turkey neck.
Edimi also has an Anti-Stress Cream ($96) that you apply to both inner ankles, inner wrists, inner elbow creases, and behind the ears morning and night. Not sure about the effectiveness of this one, but the concept is certainly interesting to say the least.
The packaging of these products is rather ordinary without a standout design, and the directions and ingredient listings are small and hard to read. However we can assume that most of that packaging and marketing money has been used for the actual product ingredients. The Institute for Skin Sciences (ISS) has been around for thirty five years however, and for the last twenty dedicated to developing protocols using Trans-Skin technology to promote health and wellness.
