Hollywood, CA(Perfect Skin Today)11/16/12/–With a name like Le Mieux you would immediately think of a skin care company based in Paris, but in fact Le Mieux is based in the suburbs of Los Angeles. The product line is pretty extensive, but brand new from the company is their 24 Hr.
Age Defying Cream that is geared to quench dry and thirsty skin. It also contains Peptides, Mulberry Root Extract, Cupuacu Butter, Green Tea and Vitamin E. It has been specially formulated to prevent the further development of wrinkles by combating oxidation and stress.
The packaging of the products is very simple and classy all white style, and the cream is very light absorbing quickly into the skin. A closer look at the ingredients of which some of them are new to me reveals the following: acetyl hexapeptide-8, improves cell adhesion and reduces dryness and yellowing of skin tone while increasing elasticity; palmitoyl tripeptide-5, produces collagen which firms the skin on the face and neck; palmitoyol pentapeptide-4, repairs damaged skin; mulberry extract, a skin brightener; ceramide, which replaces lost moisture; cupuaca butter, which prevents water loss; and finally saccharomyces lysate extract, a live yeast cell derivative with beta glucan that increases moisture detention, repairs wounds and calms irritated skin. All this for $55 for a 1.75 oz retail jar.
The Peptide Foam Cleanser ($24) has a Peptide enriched foam that penetrates the outer layer of the skin and does not rely on water as a key ingredient. Should be used twice a day, but if for any reason it dries the face or neck cut back to once a day.
Aside from the two palmitoyl peptides, the 6 ounce bottle contains apple fruit water, Shea and mango seed butter, olive fruit oil, licorice root extract, chamomile and ginseng extract.
We love our serums, and Le Mieux has Vita-C Serum ($65) with a key ingredient being MAP (magnesium ascorbyl phosphate) which goes into skin 31% faster than other Ascorbic acid, making it especially potent for flaky and sun damaged skin. Other prime ingredients in the serum include hyaluronic acid, sodium PCA, licorice root, carrageenan extract (a form of red seaweed), niacin, panthenol and superoxide dismutase, a strong anti-oxidant that minimizes damage from UV rays.
The Eye Wrinkle Corrector ($45) does exactly what it says and has many of the ingredients already described above, including acetyl hexapeptide-8. Certain Actresses are fans of this product including Kate Hudson, Jane Lynch and Christina Ricci.
Finally, our team checked out the Bio Cell Mask ($30 for pack of four) that instantly cools, soothes and brightens tired complexions. This mask infuses skin with Hydrating Freeze-Dried Marine Collagen, Hyaluronic Acid, MAP, Lavender Hydrosol & Fruit Botanical Extracts. You keep the mask on for twenty minutes and the result is fresh feeling, chilled and tingly skin. The Bio Mask is geared to optimize the release of peptides to the facial muscles.
