Gina Lollobrigida celebrated her 90th birthday on July 4, 2017, and was pleasantly surprised with the news she would be honored with a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

The official ceremony was held in Hollywood on February 1, 2018 in front of the famous Hollywood location ;

Gina Lollobrigida dressed in a beautiful shade of blue turquoise Chinese silk ensemble for the  Hollywood ceremony and then later in bright Red Silk oriental style ensemble garnished in gold trim for the Italy on Filming ceremony presentation at the Los Angeles Westwood location of Italian Cultural Institute ;

Consul General Antonio Verde attended the Hollywood and Vine ceremony ;Tiziana Rocca  recommended Gina Lollobrigida to the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce for inclusion in the list of candidates for the most recognized Star of international celebrities. 

Gina Lollobrigida is the 14th Italian Celebrity to receive a Hollywood Star on the walk of fame.

John Huston’s son Danny Huston actor / director (most recently playing notorious bad guy in epic summer hit Wonder Woman ) attended the ceremony and delivered a very eloquent and most respectfully honoring speech to the iconic movie star Gina Lollobrigida and presenting her the Filming on Italy award ;

Filming On Italy and the Italian Cultural Institute in Westwood area Los Angeles dedicated an entire day to Lollobrigida with the screening of two of her films and a public event moderated by the Artistic Director of Filming on Italy, Claudio Masenza.

The Italian Cultural Institute in Los Angeles presented  Lollobrigida the IIC Los Angeles Creativity Award, which recognizes international Italian excellence. The award was designed specifically for the Institute by Emilio Cavallini, artist and designer of international fame. The award design was inspired by the ceiling of the Pantheon in Rome.
