It is a 5 part skin care system developed by Dr.Janet Zand and Dr.David Wood, and based out of Norcross, Georgia. Their claim is that in 8 weeks you can expect a 14% increase in skin hydration, an 8% decrease in fine lines, a 10% increase in skin smoothness and n 11% decrease in the depth of coarse wrinkles. 
Containing grape stem cell technology from the Malus domestica Swiss apple tree, Systeme 41 penetrates the skin to make your complexion tight and toned. The day cream also offers sun protection with a red grape cell extract called Solar Vitis, and Beech tree extract from the Fagus sylvatica tree rejuvenates, firms and smoothes the skin. Products used are gluten free, devoid of parabens, mineral oils, surfactants, detergents, artificial colors and fragrances. Dr.Zand is a Naturopathic doctor, Acupuncturist and a herbal products formulator, and has been described rather adventurously as “Hollywood’s Best Kept Health Secret.” She is the formulator of ZAND Herbal Formulas and is the author of four books and has been featured in such prestigious outlets as Elle, Allure, Los Angeles Times and the BBC.
The five parts to the kit are as follows: Start with the Gentle Purifying Cleanser which is a highly concentrated mixture that includes Amino Acids, Sunflower Oil and Coconut Oil that are particularly strong in removing dirt, oil and eye make up. Next up is the Rejuvenating Masque featuring Amazon White Clay that decongests pores and lifts impurities and the Olive Squalane helps the skin hold moisture. The Nourishing Day Crème is a pretty rich formula that absorbs very deeply with gentle Olive oil Emulsifiers helping to smooth out the skin.
The Restorative Night Treatment contains Rice bran, Candelilla and Jojoba along with other ingredients to add natural moisture to counteract age-causing dehydration. Finally the Revitalizing Eye Treatment Includes an Essential Fatty Acid complex, Sandalwood and Barley Extracts to reduce puffiness and minimize the appearance of lines and wrinkles. The entire kit is priced at $189.75, although the web site is offering a special deal at $129.95, or alternatively you can buy individual items at prices ranging from $29.95 to $49.95 for the eye treatment.
A couple of thoughts about this product. Our intern who had the difficult job of trying the product out said it really cleaned her face well, and make up came off very easily. She also liked the night cream a lot, so Systeme 41 gets the thumbs up from us. Also I discovered that Dr.Zand is actually a Doctor of Oriental Medicine in addition to her numerous other credentials, and apparently has many celebrities, athletes and pop stars as her regular clients. Regrettably I could not find any of these types stepping up for endorsement or advertising purposes, but let’s put that down to doctor/patient privilege and natural modesty on the part of Ms.Zand.
