Long Beach,CA(Perfect Skin Today)4/28/13/–Judging by the crowds at the Christina Cosmeceuticals booth at the recent Long Beach Skin Care show, this is really a happening brand. We have had some of out interns try the products and can report good results. Starting out with the Silk Cleanup Cleansing Cream ($34), this has a combination of five cleaning ingredients which are Disodium Cocoamphodiacetate, PEG-7 Glyceryl Cocoate, Decyl Glucoside, Sodium Lauroyl Sarcosinate and Cocamidopropyl Betaine. These are all delicate cleansing ingredients formulated to cleanse the skin without damaging it and with no eye irritation.
The Silk Eyelift Cream ($80) features tightening agents and deep penetrating peptides in a rich cream that reduces puffiness and dark circles and tightens the delicate eye contour region. Some of the active ingredients include Squalene and Cyclomethicone that improve skin suppleness and reduce dryness and Regu-age, glycine soja protein, hydrolyzed bran protein, all of which are effective with the puffiness problem.
The Silk Uplift Cream ($76) features silkworm lipids and is designed to improve lost hydration and achieves a tightening effect just a few minutes after application. Like all other Christina products it is packed with ingredients and some of those include carnelian sinensia (green tea) which delays skin aging, Allantoin which is a skin protectant with healing properties and Tilia Acordata flower extract for anti-inflammatory purposes.
The Silk My Silky Serum ($80) is polysilicone based and consists of natural antioxidants, skin rejuvenators and vitamins A & C to trigger the production of new collagen. We love our serums at Perfect Skin Today and the combination of silicone oils in this One help wrinkles to vanish when the serum starts to dry. They are Cyclopentasiloxane, Dimethiconol and Dimethicone.
The Silk PeelOff Mask ($55) is a combination of Silkworm lipids and advanced active Ingredients and moisturizers that strengthen the skin bonds that lift and firm the facial contour. Apply generous portions of the mask to the face and neck at least once a week and let stand for 15 minutes until dry. The mask will be a nylon-like film, and just peel it off in tact. Any residue, wash off with a moist towel.
In the crowded skin care market Christina products are no-nonsense and non flashy with simple yet effective packaging. The Israeli based company has been around since 1982 and was founded by Christina Zehavi who is still the face of the product despite being classified as a ‘mature woman.’. Say no more.
