The first impression at the Guerlain Spa at Regent Santa Monica Beach is one of beauty and calm. Guests were welcomed into a 10,000-square-foot retreat where French beauty heritage meets the unhurried mood of the Pacific.
A Guerlain beauty expert introduced the brand’s new serum concentrate, sharing the thinking behind its role in a skincare ritual. The spa is described by the resort as the only Guerlain spa on the U.S. West Coast. Its 12 private treatment rooms include a couples’ suite, while separate men’s and women’s relaxation areas feature hot tubs, saunas, and steam rooms. The all-gender Les Clos lounge offers another quiet place to linger. Guests can also visit the Guerlain boutique for skincare, makeup, fragrance, personalized scent experiences, and beauty services.
Treatments with a sense of place
Several signature treatments bring together advanced skincare and restorative rituals. Skin Perfection, a 90-minute facial exclusive to the Regent Santa Monica Beach, pairs Guerlain expertise with HydraFacial technology for cleansing, exfoliation, detoxification, and hydration. Skin Surfing uses radio-frequency technology in a soothing facial designed to support firmness and leave skin looking radiant.
For a more immersive experience, the two-hour Crystal Vibes ritual combines a crystal-filled mattress with a crystal sound bath. The spa’s Blue Renaissance Facial features Orchidée Impériale Concentrate Serum, cooling cryo globes, and blue LED therapy. For the body, the Blue Renaissance Massage blends deep therapeutic massage, Lomi Lomi-inspired flow, and assisted stretching.
The spa also offers Guerlain Glow After Dark, an evening experience built around candlelit access and glow-focused treatments, as well as Spa Soirées for groups celebrating birthdays, bridal weekends, or simply a night together. Robes and a relaxed pace are part of the appeal.
Beyond the treatment rooms, the resort’s wellness offering extends to a two-story fitness center open 24 hours a day, a movement studio with weekly Pilates, yoga, and HIIT classes, and a pool deck lined with cabanas, daybeds, and loungers.
