This is a cover up foundation to conceal scars and blemishes, and the selling point is that it is the only oxygen treatment make up on the market, and is specifically geared for sensitive skin, and skin coming off a procedure involving invasive surgery.
When Lycogel was introduced to the market in 2001 it was considered a major breakthrough despite the fact that it contains occlusive oils and certain irritants such as phenoxyethanol. It is also only slightly transfer resistant, while Oxygenist is fully resistant. Both products have been created by Barry Knapp, and he is convince that this is the best post-procedure foundation on the market.
It comes in five yellow base foundations and five blue based. The yellow ones are crème, beige, almond, honey and tawny. The blue based are pearl, ivory, taupe, walnut and coco. It also features CERAVITAE, a breathable oxygen enriched foundation that speeds up skin cell production and minimize scarring. It also has a UVA/UVB sunscreen, and it also stays on in water. This is non chemical SPF 25 full spectrum physical sun block that is very important to know when you venture into the sun.
The moisturizer is formulated to create a second breathable skin and should be used prior to applying the foundation. It is full of hyalaurons and PCA’s that will ensure maximum hydration, and does not block the flow of oxygen to the skin. The way it works is to plump the skin leaving a nice palette for the foundation to do its thing.
All this stuff is good but I have noticed a problem recently with quite a few products Recently. Why do a lot of companies put expensive products in cheap or ineffective applicators that break down. In this case, and I hope that it was only in my version, the pump used to squeeze the foundation from the tube needed a lot of effort.
